Excuse My Tenses

As I write these pieces about my mother, sister, and my grief, I realize my tenses are all mixed up. Please pardon my verb tenses. These situations create intense tense confusion.

My mother is still alive, but I talk about her mostly in the past tense. Things she did or said. Then, sometimes, there are present day encounters and present tense. My sister passed away and I use all the tenses to talk about her.

Once again, please forgive my mixed-up tenses. I am tremendously confused. (It's okay to laugh.)
